This project consists of a two-story, LEED® Platinum Certified visitor center constructed in the San Elijo Lagoon, one of San Diego’s largest coastal wetlands. The visitor center is an interactive facility featuring displays and exhibits showcasing the history and biology of the lagoon. Sustainable design includes a photovoltaic power system, day-lighting controls, and other strategies designed to maximize sustainability.
