A Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California since 1990, Mr. Kecman has designed the mechanical and plumbing systems for an array of projects across a broad spectrum of architectural sectors. Environments have ranged from the excessive heat of the southwestern deserts, cold and humid climates of the Midwest to the more temperate climates of Southern California.
In addition to receiving his BSME degree in 1987, Mr. Kecman served as president of ASHRAE Southern Nevada chapter. He has designed environmental control systems with various systems and technologies: water source heat pumps, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, chilled water and heating hot water systems, steam distribution, gas-electric rooftop packaged systems, DX split systems, primary-secondary loop design, variable primary loop design, VAV with reheat, radiant floor heating, high-rise plumbing systems, smoke control/management, medium pressure natural gas systems, airside energy recovery systems, waterside energy recovery systems, humidification control and air filtration systems for medical procedure rooms, and direct digital control building systems.
Mr. Kecman joined Turpin & Rattan Engineering, Inc.’s San Diego office as Mechanical Engineering Manager in 2010 and quickly became a core team member. In 2014, Mr. Kecman relocated to supervise the opening of Turpin & Rattan Engineering, Inc.’s Nevada office which features mechanical and plumbing design. The Nevada branch has grown substantially under Mr. Kerman’s. As with each of our offices, the Nevada branch office emphasizes client service, responsiveness, budget and schedule and adherence, and delivery of a quality / constructible product.
