Mr. Schmidt leads Turpin & Rattan Engineering, Inc.’s Denver office, and is registered as a professional mechanical engineer in 29 States.
Mr. Schmidt has been in the engineering industry since 1986, and has a vast experience in the design, installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and temperature control systems for large institutional, educational, commercial, laboratories, clean rooms, telecommunications and governmental projects.
Mr. Schmidt has been responsible for some of the major retrofit projects for the most critical systems serving top tiered mission critical telecommunication facilities across the United States. Mr. Schmidt’s dedication to detail has earned him a great reputation with his clients as he tailors his design with an operational perspective.
Mr. Schmidt works closely with clients to develop project plans, specific project scopes, as well as construction budgets and schedules. He also performs energy audits and analysis, as part of retro-commissioning, which includes analyzing the existing systems in detail for functionality and operation.
Through his work experience, Mr. Schmidt has gained extensive awareness of the integrations required between architectural and engineering systems as well as the prerequisites for a successful project through design, plan check, construction and commissioning.
